PATIENT ADVOCATE ACTION COLLECTIVE MEMBER

Michael Cramer, a 23-year-old cancer survivor and social media influencer, defies the odds after being diagnosed with Hepatosplenic T-cell lymphoma in 2020—an exceptionally rare cancer with an average survival of eight months. Born in Paris and raised in Miami Beach, he grew up surfing, skating, and competing internationally in windsurfing, known for his adventurous nature and sense of humor both on and off the water.

Despite enduring chemotherapy, radiation, a bone marrow transplant, and a trying series of life-threatening complications—including graft-versus-host disease, liver failure, gastroparesis, and avascular necrosis—he keeps pushing forward. His mother, Ashlee, has been his unwavering support, strengthening their unbreakable bond. Along the way, they’ve faced countless challenges navigating the healthcare system but have held onto hope through groundbreaking science, clinical trials, and the unwavering dedication of incredible doctors overseeing his care.

Together, they turned pain into purpose, launching Michael and Mom Talk Cancer, a podcast, blog, and YouTube channel that offers raw insights, humor, and even rap videos on the cancer experience.
